Moving Forward

Hey listeners,

I have so enjoyed this talk this week on "Moving Forward"!!  I know for me personally, God has spoken to me through this to just continue to trust Him in the moments that I'm not even sure about. God has a call and purpose for each one of us and we have to continue to fight the good fight of faith and press on towards the mark for which God is calling us towards that heavenly prize.

Philippians 3:13-14
Hebrews 12:1-2
Hebrews 12:12-13

All these are the scriptures I shared with you this week and I hope they spoke to you in some way. I love Hebrews 12:12-13, where it talks about getting a new grip and strengthening our weak knees.  So many times in the race we get weary and tired, but we need to get a new grip and realize that Jesus is the only way, and in those moments of being tired and weary, we need to tighten our grip with the One who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.  He has the master plan.

Keep on running this race that has been set before you.  We have to continue to throw off every weight that tries to entangle us and trap us up. We have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.  So many things in this world try to take our focus and get our attention and that keeps us from moving forward with Jesus.  Stand strong and press on with endurance and perseverence. God has called you for a higher purpose.  Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Keep running for Jesus, do like Paul said, and forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead... heavenly prize!!

Unwrap the GIFT...

Isaiah 9:6
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest upon His shoulders. And He will be called; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

We have been given the most precious gift that is possible to be given and that is eternal life through a Savior, Jesus Christ.  We are celebrating Christmas remembering that God sent His Son to us.  A child has been born, a son given to us!! How amazing is that!!

He is our Wonderful Counselor- the place to run when we need the answers, when we are looking for wisdom.  His wisdom is not like the worlds wisdom.  Ask and He will answer.

He is our Mighty God- a God who is able to defeat the enemy.  Able to fight every battle. Just with His mouth He spoke creation into existence!! What a Might God we serve!!

I love the names of God and how He is strong in my moments of weakness!

"Sometimes out of our biggest tragedies, that is where we see God show that He is the Mightiest"!!
He is our Everlasting Father- the Bible says in Psalms 68:5, that He is a Father to the fatherless, defender of widows-this is God, whose dwelling is holy.  God places the lonely in families;..., I love this so much.  I can't tell you how many times in my prayers I have just cried out to my dad.  I have a good friend and I love talking with Him because he refers to the Lord as Daddy.  And the reason I love this is because it makes it so personal, and I believe the Lord wants to get personal with us.  He wants us to spend time with Him and realize that He loves us so much.  He truly is our Everlasting Father (Dad).

He is our Prince of Peace- Oh if we are honest, we would all admit we need PEACE around here and in our own personal lives.  Well the good news is, is Jesus is that peace!! It seems that no matter what is going on in this crazy world we live in, among all the chaos and wars and tragedies, Jesus is TRUE PEACE!! When we have Unwrapped the Gift of Jesus in our lives, we can realize that He is all these things in our lives. That He can meet every need and satisfy every thirst and hunger!!  Oh How I LOVE JESUS!!

Remember what the true meaning of CHRISTmas is this season, don't get caught up in all the hype of it!  Unwrap the Gift of Christmas this year, and that is JESUS.  If you have never received this gift, the greatest gift, then my prayer is for you to unwrap that in your life today!

It is so simple, Romans 10:9-10, says If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it  is by believing in your heart that your are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
If you prayed Romans 10:9-10, first of all PRAISE THE LORD!!  Welcome to the family of the Lord. Please message me, I would love to just continue to keep you in prayer and encourage you. We are now family, you are my brother or sister in Christ.  Tell somebody what just happened in your life. Please find a church that teaches the Word of God and get in fellowship with the believers!  God bless you and Merry Christmas!!

A Voice Calling...

Luke 3:4-6
Isaiah had spoken of John when he said "He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord's coming! Clear the road for Him! The valleys will be filled, and the mountains and hills made level. The curves will be straightened, and the rough places made smooth. And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.' "

Looking deeper into the scriptures, I believe the Lord speaks volumes to us!  Jesus already was in the beginning and came to earth as a baby and we are in the middle of celebrating that amazing story right now!!!  But things did not end there, Jesus grew and had a ministry here on earth and showed us how to love and live and then WENT ALL THE WAY to the CROSS for you and for me, He took our sin upon Himself and gave us life and gave us life more abundantly.  But things still didn't end there,  He rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven interceding for you and for me.  I believe He is that Voice speaking to us now, trying to fill the valleys in our lives and move the mountains and hills in our way, and straighten the curves that get thrown our way and smooth the rough places that arise in our lives.  And the reason is to bring Glory to His name!!  To show that He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, to show there was a reason why He came for us.  Victory is ours through Jesus.  So that we might see the "salvation sent from God"!

Drown out the voices that try screaming louder in your mind and the lies that tell you you don't matter, Jesus died for you, receive Him and trust Him, give Him the mountains and the valleys, and trust Him through those hard times, He is faithful and His promises are true!!

And the even greater NEWS!! HE IS COMING BACK!  So just like the scripture says, "Prepare the way for the Lord's COMING!"

The Christmas Tree

Luke 2:14
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Picture
I hope when you look at your Christmas tree this year, you see it for more than just a tree.  I hope you can see all the symbols within it that help to point us right back to Jesus everytime!!

  1. Evergreen tree - represents Everlasting life
  2. Lights - represents Jesus, the Light of the World
  3. Tree Itself - represents the Trinity, Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
  4. Star on Top - represents the North star that led the Wisemen to Jesus
  5. Gifts Underneath - represents the 3 gifts brought before Jesus, gold, frankincense and myrh

I love that in all of creation we can look at what the Lord has created and turn it around and give Him our praise.  Psalm 96:12-13, says, Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!  Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for He is coming!

Isaiah 55:12  You will live in joy and peace.  The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!

Galatians 3:13-14  But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law.  When He was hung on the cross, He took upon Himself the curse for our wrongdoing.  For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."  Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing He promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

When you look upon the tree, see the real meaning behind it!!!  Jesus came so that we could live.  He hung on a tree for you and for me!! Thank you Jesus!!-- Krista

HE'S COMING BACK!   ARE YOU READY??

PAY IT FORWARD!!!

The Lord truly spoke to me through the "Pay It Forward" segment!! I know I shared so much scripture, but each day spoke a deeper meaning to me and I hope to you too.

We are called to make disciples and love people and show them Jesus!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind.  Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.  It does not demand its own way.  It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I shared a lot of scripture throughout this week and if you think about it, it all comes back to loving people and pointing them to Jesus!!  Deuteronomy 6:4-9, talked of how we need to continuously talk about Jesus.  The scripture tells us to write it upon our door posts, and talk about Him daily with our children, so we need to continuously be paying it forward into our children!

Not only do we need to be paying it forward into our children daily, but into this entire generation.  I have such a love for this generation.  I shared the scripture from 1 Kings 19:16, where Elijah anointed Elisha.  That whole story I believe has so much depth in it, because I believe Elijah passed something onto Elisha, it was an anointing he placed onto Elisha to carry on his ministry but to also carry it farther than Elijah even carried it!!  We need to be about pouring into this generation and desiring for them to go farther then ourselves and take the gospel farther then we have.

Think of how you can be a blessing today and 'Pay It Forward' into someones life today.  Who might you meet today, that needs to hear about Jesus?  After-all, JESUS PAID IT ALL FORWARD for us!!

Speak Life...

Proverbs 18:21
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

There is a lot of power in this short scripture.  It speaks very loudly to me and has spoken loudly to me throughout my life as a follower of Jesus!!  I believe the Lord wants what is best for us.  I think we have a choice to choose the kind of person we want to be and what kind of example we want to be to others! I know for myself I want to be a positive influence in the lives of others and that doesn't just go for the life that I live, I believe my talk and my walk ought to match up!  Choosing to speak life daily is choosing to speak the Word!! God's Word has so many promises in it, and if we would get in it and begin to see what it says about us and what the Lord says about His people, I believe it would begin to change how we see ourselves and others, it would change our thought pattern and then it would begin to change the way we speak.

See what you put in eventually comes out!! So my question to you today is what are you feeding on today!! Choose to feed on living things, on the Word, and you will find yourself speaking life to not only your situation but to those around you!! God is able!!

My challenge to you today is take notice of everything you say throughout the day, are you speaking (positive) life,  or speaking things of negativity (death)?  Believe me none of us are no where near perfect at this, but just take a day and see what you do more of throughout a days time!!  I have to keep myself in check on this.  We all walk through hard times and situations that overtake us and can be overwhelming, but hopefully we can begin to see why we are going through the season we are going through, cause God knows all and sees all.  We don't always understand the season we are in, but I know there has to be a reason for all of it!!  I'm still trying to learn my own!!  Be blessed and I would love to hear some of your own stories and just share with you more of my own personal stories!  Message me or comment!! God bless you.-- Krista
