Acts 16:25-26 Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off. Can't express again how powerful our praise is!!! Please go check out Acts 16 and read the whole story about Paul and Silas!! Please message me or leave a comment, I would love to hear how the Lord has delivered you from a situation where you have chosen to praise Him through your circumstance!!
GET YOUR PRAISE ON!!--Krista 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 After consulting the people, the King appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising Him for His Holy splendor. This is what they sang: "Give thanks to the Lord; His faithful love endures forever!" At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab and Mt.Seir to start fighting among themselves. I am blown away at this story in 2 Chronicles 20!! I want to encourage you to read this story, because there is so much here. The Lord spoke to me, it has been about a year ago and He used scripture in this story to encourage me through a situation I was dealing with with one of my children. 2 Chronicles 20:17 says, But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord's victory. This spoke to me in such a way, it brought tears to my eyes and I was literally on my face before the Lord.
God hears the cries of His people and He showed up on my behalf that day, just like He showed up in this story and defeated the enemy for this king. When we have situations in our lives that arise, give it all to Jesus and begin to praise Him through the storms. He is faithful always!! And if you read the end of the book (Bible), the enemy is defeated!!!!! We WIN, because of Jesus!! Hallelujah!! I am seeing the Lord move mightily in my life where I chose to take my position, like He said through this scripture. Believe me, I am human and fail so many times at this, but He continues to remind me who He is and who I am in Him. So take your positions and begin to praise like you have never praised before. The Lord will show up!!--Krista ![]() John 4:23-24 But the time is coming-indeed it's here now-when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. There is no other name that deserves all the praise and worship we can give, but JESUS!! He is worthy of all the honor. We are coming up on the week of Thanksgiving and I am so grateful for where God has brought me from. I guess that's why I love the story of the woman at the well. Jesus truly met her right where she was at, but loved her so much that He didn't leave her in that place!! He shows all through this story how He has come for everyone, not just for certain individuals or races or ethnic groups, Jesus came to save the world!! God looks at the heart and what is amazing is He knows just how to reach the heart! I'll never forget the day He changed my heart. I have a desire to know Him more and seek Him and give Him all my worship!!
I shared a statement on the radio this morning, "The more we know about God, the more we appreciate Him. The more we appreciate, the deeper our worship. The deeper our worship, the more God is glorified." Let Him captivate you, if you do that, you can't help but to worship Him.--Krista ![]() Psalm 15:1-2 Who may worship in Your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter Your presence on Your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking from sincere hearts. WOW!! This is a powerful statement here! It really speaks to me and puts things back into perspective for me. The Lord looks at our hearts and not everything on the outside. He cares about our heart condition and if we are really sincere.
I sing on our praise team at church and music is a huge part of who I am, but I am learning that worship is more that just the music. That's why I love the story in the bible, Mark 12, where the widow woman came and gave 2 small coins, when everyone else was giving out of their wealth. Jesus said she had gave more than anyone, see He looked at the heart. Worship is an offering, to pour out. And we can worship in so many different ways other than just music. Its in our daily lives that we live. Let your life be about worshiping our Savior. My prayer today is that you find that time and place with the Lord, make time for Him and seek His face and not just His hands!! I believe that is true worship, when we worship Him for who He is and not just what He can do for us. I love that song that states, "every blessing You pour out I'll turn it back to praise". He does want to bless us cause we serve a good God, but lets make it about Him and not just about us. Are we a consumer or a consumee of worship.--Krista This has got to be one of the most precious pictures that I have seen. It spoke so much to me and showed me where my focus should be and that the Lords love is amazing!! This is a picture of my little cousin. Had to share and praying that you see what I seen in it or that the Lord speaks to you in a special way personally!
Jesus wants us to come to Him as little children. Matthew 18:3. "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." These are powerful words from Jesus! We need to get away from our stinkin' thinkin'!! Check out the story in the bible in Acts 7!! Stephen's last words were praying for the people that were doing him wrong!! AMAZING!! Have you ever noticed little children playing and even if they start to not get along or fight about something, it isn't long before they are back playing again with one another! WOW, if we could just put that into practice as adults! Let's focus on what is important and that is the things of the Lord!! Fix your eyes on Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith!!-- Krista ![]() Happy Veteran's Day We treasure and honor every veteran and member of the military today. But not just today but everyday!! Thank you for your sacrifice and fighting for our freedom in this country that we live in!! Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for His friends. John 15:13 Jesus paid the ultimate price for our freedom. There is no greater love than that!! He calls us His friends. James 2:23 says, And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith." He was even called the friend of God. I love that so much, that He calls me His friend! Jesus laid down His life for you and for me, this was the ultimate sacrifice. Abraham was considered a friend because he believed God and his faith was in God. You may know about God and hear the name Jesus, but are you His friend? Do you believe in what He did for you. He sent His son Jesus to die just for you and me, to pay a sacrifice we couldn't pay! Give Him all of you today!! I want to honor those that have fought and are fighting for our freedom in this country!! Words cannot express my thanks and gratitude. Both of my grandparents were in the military and my brother is now! We are truly blessed to have men and women who are willing to stand courageous and fight for our freedom. That you consider us your friend, and protect and serve for each one of us. Thank you and God bless you all. My prayers are continuously with you all!! -- Krista
